The 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards brought out Hollywood’s Elite and the stars gave us the fashion that we craved. We saw the good, bad, and the ugly on the red carpet. Major trends I saw from the carpet were a return of black, black/white, bright colors, deep fall colors, and all around a much more glamorous group of dresses seen on the carpet. It was awesome to see actresses wearing a variety of different design houses. There were dressed from designers whom I had never heard of before that time and I am happy to be report in this blog!
I have to say 49 years old, Helen Hunt, was one of my personal best dressed in her Silver, Romona Kevenza. Hunt was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for The Sessions. It might have be years that we have seen on at an award show. It was Hunt role in “As Good As It Gets” that got her the 1998 Best Actress Oscar for the film.

Jennifer Garner also rocked it in a metallic golden gown by Oscar de la Renta. Garner was supporting her husband, Ben Affleck, Best Picture nomination for “Argo.” This year Garner has proven that she is back on the fashion radar! You go girl Jen!

Jennifer Lawrence in a navy Christian Dior Haute Couture gown. She has been looking amazing in Dior. The dress was controversial as it looked as she was walking up to accept her SAG award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for “Silver Linings Playbook” look like the dress was coming apart but it was just the tiers of the gowns. (Give me a break, you gotta love Dior’s PR people who said the dress did not have a malfunction).

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen. Personally she was one of my most improved from the Golden Globes. This red, McQueen gown really works with her hair and pale skin. It’s a beautiful strapless dress that looks amazing!! This will a color and style that will continue to reign on the fashion runways!

Claire Danes winner for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama for Showtime’s “Homeland”. She wore a custom Givenchy gown. Danes gets majors brownie points for me because she looks outstanding at the both the SAGs and the Golden Globes. She just had a baby just over a month ago and looks like she didn’t have a baby at all. This gown went to the dark side with a graphic white detail. One of my favorite parts of her look was her dark burgundy lips.

Nicole Kidman was in a black and blue Vivienne Westwood gown. I am so happy that Kidman is back on the red carpet looking fabulous! I am so happy she is back to wearing beautiful gowns and is enjoying fashion again. It was one of my favorite looks.
