Mary Katrantzov is a hot ticket during London Fashion Week. Each season she has evolved her label to explore new ways of designing patterns, prints, and other textiles in every color of rainbow. She understands how to cut her fabrics and mold them into chic dresses, jackets, pants, skirts, and accessories. I would like to declare her the Goddess of Color. She was born in Athens and educated at London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins where she completed her bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.
Her Spring 2014 collection was no surprise bold in print and color. This seasons prints included floral and shoes. Her usage of a shoe print, including the lace loops, heel, toe, and body of the shoe were placed ever so cleverly on different parts of the garments. Not to mention her designs were innovative and futuristic.
Katrantzou also had top model, Jacquetta Wheeler close her show wearing a show-stopping, gorgeous midnight blue dress that was named, Midnight Chrysa.
Celebrities flock to her designs for special events. These lucky ladies include Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Leighton Meester, Elizabeth Banks, Leelee Sobieski, and supermodel Arizona Muse.
