One of my favorite haute couture fashion shows from Paris Couture Week was Atelier Versace.
This season was all about a stronger silhouette in primary hues of black, white, red, and royal blue. There was a celebration of the female form in many of the cutouts on dresses and jumpsuits that looked like each outfit was molded onto the curves of each model. There wasn’t a lot of the typical Versace embroidery on these looks but the color palettes looked very similar to what Atelier Versace showed on the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globes.
Sitting front row at the fashion show was Kate Hudson and her mother, Goldie Hawn both were wearing the finest in Atelier Versace. Kate Hudson’s recent 2015 Golden Globes “Best Dressed” gown was created by Donatella and her team. Many critics called the gown as a fashion risk because of its crystal cutout details made it one of the most talked about gowns.
Donatella pulled out the supermodel power with 1990s beauties Eva Herzigova and Amber Valletta returning to the runway to help close out her show. Valletta was the infamous model in 1999 to wear the now famous Versace green sheer gown that Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards.
