Tom Ford is one of my favorite designers. His career took him to the top serving as the former creative director of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent-Rive Gauche (Left Bank).  He left the houses in 2004 in two very emotional shows.  But after leaving these fashion power houses, he began to build the Tom Ford brand.  He has expanded in creating a full lifestyle brand that includes Menswear, Womenswear, Beauty, Eyewear, and Film Making. His clothes, eyewear, and beauty are some of the most wanted in the world.

His Spring 2014 Collection felt like a throwback from his past Gucci collections during the 1990s when he magnified the message of luxury and sex. (He helped to bring sexy back to women!)  His opening look was a stunning two-piece leather skirt with a leather and crocodile jacket with belted details.  It was a show-stopping piece! There were also mosaic glass dresses and tops on a few of the looks towards the end of the show. The key colors in the colors were brown, white, black, and touches of red, pink, and zebra-print. This zebra-print is large and bold; not for the woman who is afraid of a little animal print.

Tom Ford is the one of kings of luxury and seeing his comeback over the last few years has made me so proud of all of his accomplishment since leaving Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. One thing Ford can always be counted on for is creating beautiful, sexy, and stunning clothes for women that will transform them.

Much like his work during the mid-1990s through early 2000s where he helped to make Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent two of the most luxurious and desirable brands.

Ford is also famous for his started his exploration into film-making. He was director of the critically acclaimed film, “A Single Man” in 2009 starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore.
