The Louis Vuitton, Spring-Summer 2012 collection debuted in October 2011 during Paris Fashion Week and I been obsessed with the collection since I saw the first photos online. The impact and trends of eyelet, embroidered on dresses, hot pants, skirts, jackets, trenches and of course the bags in hues of soft and pale blues, greens, yellows, oranges, peaches, reds, pinks, and purples remain an ever present trend in our marketplace.
Marc Jacobs, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton since 1997, has presented every season with a new and exciting collection that makes fashion fans gasp in delight like children in candy stores. This collection was one of my favorite ones from Jacobs because he created an atmosphere that was so light and airy featuring models on a Louis Vuitton carousel. Each model sat until it was her turn to walk around the circular runway.
It also didn’t hurt that Kate Moss closed the fashion show with full attitude. She fully embraced this new Louis Vuitton woman. Check out a few of my favorite runway looks.
