One of the most anticipated fashion shows this Fall 2013 Ready to Wear Season was Alexander Wang’s debut collection for Balenciaga. I have to admit after looking over the collection online I was so impressed at Wang’s ability to look over the archives of Cristobal Balenciaga and break down all of the formulas to what made the best and most modern take on a woman’s wardrobe. Though not as edgy as his name label in New York City, there was definitely a maturity to this collection that felt so good. I knew that Wang would create an amazing collection featuring sculptural silhouettes in jackets, pants, and tops. The collection looks and feels like Wang because he always works to put forth a strong and fearless woman. I am so happy this revolutionary designer’s work is now being seen by the masses. I am so excited to see his future collections at the house of Balenciaga. Perhaps one day we will see Alexander Wang at one of the Parisian Couture houses.
