I love Michael Kors. I fell in love with his fashion lifestyle brand in the late 1990s when he was working with on expanding his brand to include menswear, accessories, and opening stores domestically and internationally. He loves women and wants to dress them in the most luxurious fabrics that can be made.  He’s not afraid to mix cotton with furs and leathers.  His looks are always reflecting the urbanization of our world and looking for newest trends to share with the customer.  He gets it and I believe this man can do no wrong. I want to live in this world that Michael Kors created with tough chic women who can go from wearing a fur-lined parka to ski in Aspen and change into a sexy, tight leather dress for the evening.  What I also can respect about Kors is his ability to dress people of all shapes and sizes.

He takes us on travels from Palm Beach, Florida (Spring 2000), The Kentucky Derby (Fall 2001), Greek Isles (Spring 2004), American Southwest (Spring 2006), New England Collegiates (Fall 2006), New York Classics (Fall 2007), and many other places.  I remember one reviewer once called one of Michael Kors’ Fall 2007 Collection as collection inspired by woman who was the love child of Bill Blass (Classic American Sportswear Designer) and Donatella Versace (Queen of Sexy Dresses and Evening Gown).

This season Kors continues designing for an urbanized American look but this season takes a sporty edge with suits, furs, dresses, beautiful tight fitted long sleeve tops with hoop skirts that looked a laser cut.  Patterns of camouflage and houndstooth were seen in furs, suits, pants and anything that would help to hide a modern skier or business person in Aspen from escaping a tough meeting at Sundance.  Kors used his basic black with shots of taxi cab yellow, orange and dark red-orange hues along with bold blues, gray and brown.  Olive was also seen very minimally along with simple white belts.
